The Root Studios is made up of four developers, all with prior experience in the industry: Rennan Costa (Director and Programmer), Richard Novak (Pixel Artist), Denis Espanhol (Game Designer), and Gabriel Raposo (Game Designer). Before Shard Squad, Rennan and Gabriel had already worked together on Bagdex, another Brazilian project that gained attention in the genre.
