The evolution has begun!

We are excited to announce the launch of Prime Evolution, one of the largest updates ever developed for Shard Squad. This new chapter introduces a complete progression system that expands the potential of every playable Shard, bringing new strategies, unique abilities, and an even more dynamic gameplay experience.

For the first time, all 28 Shards in the game, including DLC characters, have received their own exclusive evolved form. Each evolution has been designed to add a new layer of power and identity, making every match more exciting than ever.

During a match, when your team’s Leader reaches the maximum level, an Evolution Quest will become available for the corresponding Shard.

Upon completing the challenge, that character will awaken its Prime Form and gain:

A significant power increase
A brand-new, exclusive, and extremely powerful ability
A fully evolved visual appearance

The transformation remains active until the end of the match, allowing players to unleash their Shard’s full potential during the most decisive moments.

Prime Evolution also introduces new customization options, allowing players to choose how they want to experience the system:

Full Evolution: Gain both the gameplay enhancements and the evolved visual appearance.
Gameplay-Only Evolution: Unlock the new abilities and power upgrades while keeping the character’s original look.
Evolution Disabled: Preserve the classic experience with the Shard’s original appearance and abilities.

Prime Evolution is much more than a visual upgrade. It is a complete evolution of the gameplay experience, introducing new match objectives, deeper strategic decisions, and epic moments capable of completely changing the outcome of a battle.
