Islets Defense, first game from former Horizon Chase 2 devs, launches today with new trailer and special discount

A new trailer showcasing several new features, mechanics, and surprises has also been released

Brazilian studio MiniGoof, founded by former developers of Horizon Chase 2 and Fortnite, is celebrating the global release of its first original title today. Islets Defense is now available on PC via Steam with a special launch promotion, offering 10% off for a limited time. Published by Nuntius Games, this is the publisher’s first worldwide launch. Console versions are also on the way for PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, Nintendo Switch 1 and 2, as well as iOS and Android.

A brand-new trailer is also available, showing off the game’s features, including a variety of minigames and surprises players will discover as they defend their castle.

A Different Kind of Tower Defense

“We want to highlight the unique mix of Tower Defense and turn-based strategy. This combination brings a fresh dynamic to the genre, where every move must be carefully considered. It’s also a way to attract players who might not usually connect with traditional Tower Defense games. The variety of mechanics, handcrafted campaign levels with no randomness, and the balance between strategic depth and mechanical simplicity make it both inviting for experimentation and rewarding for mastery. The game includes 30 levels, 15 regular plus 15 in Hardcore Mode. It offers global score progression, charming visuals, and an original soundtrack. Everything is designed to be both accessible and strategically challenging. Since launch, many content creators have taken on the challenge of completing the first stage in the fewest turns possible, encouraging creativity and community engagement.

The First of Many

While Nuntius Games already has other titles available on Steam, Islets Defense is the publisher’s first full global launch. Nuntius Games plans to release several major indie games by the end of 2025.
